OY GEVALT! Dealing With The Challenges of Loss and Transition: An Invitation to Discuss
Shalom. Last month, Rabbi Mark Howard Levin joined me and a few dozen others in a first time webinar to discuss issues that all of us are dealing with as we grow older. The conversation was wide ranging and we left looking for more time. A theme that seemed to flow through much of the conversation was that of loss. Loss, we discussed, was not always associated with negativity. We are at an age, thanks to health and longevity, where the losses at times, create new opportunities for growth. These moments of loss and transition range from changes in our bodies, relationships, family dynamics and more. They may also help us deal with our own realization of our own mortality. There was so much that emerged that we decided, and the follow up emails from many of the participants agreed, to schedule this part two of our discussion, and to focus the webinar on the challenges of dealing with loss and transitions as we age.
OUR NEXT WEBINAR WILL BE ON THURSDAY MAY 23, 4PM EASTERN TIME/3PM CENTRAL/2PM MOUNTAIN AND 1PM PACIFIC.
